Job Description

We are seeking an experienced tax person with four to ten years of public accounting experience for our tax department. We are looking for someone with the following:

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle tax planning projects for individuals and businesses
• Review individual, partnership, trust, and corporation tax returns
• Manage client relationships and staff
• Identify and research accounting and tax related matters
• Prepare complex tax returns
• Provide accounting assistance to small and medium sized businesses
• Coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Calculate income tax provisions for GAAP financial statements
• Learn new information and skills quickly
• Communicate with management and clients on tax issues and situations

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• CPA
• Three to ten years’ experience in Public accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)
• Experience with ProSystem Engagement and/or ProSystemTax helpful
• Experience with CCH Intelliconnect and BNA Tax Research platforms helpful
• Experience with QuickBooks helpful

Required Skills & Experience:

• In process of earning or have already earned Bachelor of Science/Business Administration in Accounting or Masters in Accounting
• Strong verbal/ written communication skills
• Must have at least 1 tax course (Individual Tax, Corporate or Partnership Tax)
• Must have Intermediate Accounting 2
• Be on a path to sit for CPA exam
• Strong academic credentials – minimum 3.0 GPA
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
