Options to Pay Federal Taxes Electronically

 

IRS Direct Pay                    https://www.irs.gov/Payments/Direct-Pay

This service is for individuals only and offers a free, secure electronic payment method through the IRS” website.  IRS Direct Pay requires individual to provide information on previously filed return and answer questions aimed to authenticate the individual.  Payments can be scheduled up to 30 days in advance and payments can be modified or cancelled until two business days before the payment date.  Once made, a confirmation number is provided.

For individuals and businesses to make free electronic tax payments.  Taxpayers are required to enroll in the service in advance of requesting a payment.  Once enrolled, the IRS will mail a PIN via US Mail in 5-7 business days to be used in making payments via the EFTPS website or through the IRS’ voice response system (1.800.555.3453).

Payments can be scheduled up to a year in advance, which can be changed or cancelled up to two business days in advance of the scheduled payment date.  Payments must be scheduled by 8pm the calendar day before the due date, however, funds do not move from your account until the day you indicate.   A confirmation number is provided for each payment.

 

Wire Transfer                    Your Bank

Some financial institutions can do a same-day wire transfer or ACH Credit payment to the IRS.  Payments through third parties often have earlier cutoff times and banking fees may apply.

Kansas

Individual and business estimated tax payments and balances dues with returns can be made through the online Kansas Customer Service Center.  Accounts must be set up with an individual’s SSN and Access Code provided by the KS DOR.  To obtain an access code, you must first call the KS DOR at 785-296-6966 or email eservices@kdor.ks.gov.  Note, this process may take up to two business days to obtain the access code requested via email.

Missouri

Missouri DOR accepts online payments for individual taxes, including extension and estimated tax payments, using a credit card or E-Check through a third party vendor, Collector Solutions, Inc.

E-check – there is a $.50 handling fee for this service.  Payments are postmarked he date submitted but might not apply to your tax account for 3-4 business days.

Debit & Credit Cards – MasterCard, Discover, Visa and American Express.  Payments are postmarked he date submitted but might not apply to your tax account for 5-6 business days and are subject to a convenience fee up to 2.15% of the transaction amount.

 

Kansas City

Businesses and individuals must have an existing account to access the KCMO Quick Tax system.  Businesses can register their business online (http://kcmo.gov/pay-online/) and individuals must call the KCMO Revenue Division at 816-513-1120 or file a paper RD_109 wage earner form to establish at tax account and gain access to the Quick Tax system.
